India vs New Zealand semi-final is scheduled to resume on reserve day i.e on 10th July 2019.
Rain forced the first semi-final of world cup 2019 on to next reserve day. After scoring 211 runs in 46.1 overs New Zealand had to stop the play because of the rain. The Indian bowlers were able to control Black caps to 211/5.
This will be the first semi final match to be played on reserve day in entire world cup history, though there were matches played on reserve days in 1979 world cup but none of them were knock out matches. Again there was final of 2002 champions trophy where finalists India and Sri Lanka shared the trophy together because rain didn't allow the match to be played even on the next day.
India vs New Zealand 1st semi-final will resume today, both India and New Zealand will complete their 50-over innings if weather permits. In unlikely condition match will be shortened
India must bat at least 20 overs in order to get the final result or they will reach the finals if the match had to abandoned due to rain.
